This afternoon the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica approved in first debate the bill that will allow the cultivation, trade, planting and distribution of cannabis.
Bill 21.88 was voted positively by 33 legislators and rejected by 13.
The main approach of this project is to enable national production through legislation that allows these plants to be planted on national soil and to be used in different industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and commerce through state control.
